There’s a certain calm that settles over me every time I find myself downtown. The brick sidewalks, the tree-lined streets, and the way the shops and cafés spill their character out onto High St makes it feel like stepping into a storybook.
I love wandering past the historic buildings and imagining all the lives that have passed through them. There’s something grounding about a place that balances old-world charm with the simple hum of daily life. On Saturdays, when the Worthington Farmers Market is in full swing, the whole community seems to gather… neighbors chatting, kids laughing, the smell of fresh coffee drifting through the air.
Even just sitting on a bench with a Graeter’s ice cream or carrying home a bag of local finds feels special here. Downtown Worthington isn’t just beautiful because of its architecture or its shops… it’s beautiful because it feels alive, cared for, and loved by the people who call this town home.
Sometimes I think the best part about Worthington isn’t that it looks like a postcard; it’s that it feels like one.
That unexpected rush: spotting our shirts in the wild
It always happens when I least expect it. I’ll be running errands, grabbing a coffee at Joya’s, or waiting in line at Trader Joe’s, and then I see it. A shirt I know by heart. One that once sat flat on a press, its design still tacky with fresh ink. Now it’s alive, worn by someone who probably doesn’t know me at all, but who chose that shirt as part of their day.
A Quiet Kind of Pride
There’s a strange mix of pride and disbelief that bubbles up in those moments. Screen printing can feel routine when you’re a sales rep or you’re in the shop… line up the shirt, pull the ink, cure it, repeat. But out in the real world, those same shirts carry weight. I still remember the first time I watched a screen print happen up close. It was in a small local shop, the kind of place that smelled faintly of ink, cotton, and fresh coffee. The screen came down, the squeegee pulled across, and suddenly a blank shirt turned into something alive with color. I was hooked.
