The beginning…
The First Pull of Ink
I still remember the first time I watched a screen print happen up close. It was in a small local shop, the kind of place that smelled faintly of ink, cotton, and fresh coffee. The screen came down, the squeegee pulled across, and suddenly a blank shirt turned into something alive with color. I was hooked. There’s something almost magical about that transformation, it’s like watching an idea step out of your head and onto fabric.
Thread That Tells a Story
Embroidery, on the other hand, feels different. It’s slower, more deliberate, almost meditative. When I run my fingers across raised stitches spelling out a name or a logo, I can feel the patience in each thread. In our everyday world, embroidery has become a kind of storytelling. Whether it’s a ball cap with a school emblem, or a cozy fleece jacket with a local business logo, every piece feels like it belongs to a community.
